Now Pay Attention

Now Pay Attention, this is important, and, this is me! 2021 self portrait Pencil and wire tryptic 55 x 20 cm there are a few symbols I use on a daily basis and somehow sum up me. Asterix * - constantly highlighting what needs doing next Ampersand & – always something else to do…. My initials JAB – By continuously repeating/over writing them to paper the image becoming undistinguishable. I then created the image in wire which raised them from the surface to create the movement of the dancer that I was (still am!) and using the continuous line from the wire connected the 3 images leaving a loose end outside of the frame ……. “because you cannot keep me in a box"
